The streets fluttered with trash and rubbish along its sides. The side walk all torn up and cracked. Yet nature has made this place still pretty. Trees flourished and flowers sprinkled throwout its pine green grass. Birds chirped as they flew above. The sky was light blue with snow white clouds blocking the sun. Ethan stood in the center of the park gazing up at them. He felt a cool breeze coming from the north. How felt so good agents his skin. He smiled and held his arms extending outward. (If only i could fly. I could feel this sort of thing all the time. See more places such as this one.) He thought to himself.
Ethan walked over to a bench and laid down on it. He felt a newspaper beneath him. As Ethan was about to take a nap he spotted something that looked of interest. It was a picture of a burning building. The topic read " Mutant pyros burn a building only to pretend to be heroes." Ethan raised an eye brow. It was hard to ignore. How can people be so blind as to what good mutants do. They become heroes only to get the after effects of being called criminals and freaks. It made Ethan wounder. He put his legs up on the arm rest witch he used as a foot rest and folded his arms beneath his head. He closed his eyes and listened to the world around him.

Alex strolled in the park, hands in the pockets of his jeans. It was the middle of the day in Central Park, and the place was full of all the cliches... groups of giggling girls, groups of guys, couples, families. He walked down a particularly rundown path. Alex sighed, the day was hot. Nowhere near the heat and humidity of southern Alabama, but still.
Alex stopped at a bench, looking down at the lone occupant. "Can I sit there?" He asked, one eyebrow slightly quirked, with amusement in his face.

Foot steps coming closer and closer. The dirt crunched beneath there feet. Ethan heard the sounds from a distance then from a few inches away. A voice interrupted the sounds. Ethan opened his eyes to see a man standing before him. Looking at him from a awkward angle he looked like he was cool. A different type of person in witch Ethan never had the chance to meet with. A question presented itself from the man. He asked if he could sit beside him. Ethan slide from his laying down position into a leaning position making room for this unsuspecting man. " Yeah." Ethan simply replied.
Ethan looked into an empty space as he thought up words to say to the man. He wouldn't dear to make the guy feel uncomfortable and ask him how he felt about mutants and that he was one. But something urged him to. Ethan was thinking to much. He took a breath in and blew out whistling for a moment. " Names Ethan." He told the man. Looking at his amused face Ethan felt comfortable around him. Why it didn't occur to him at the moment. But perhaps after talking to him more he will be able to find out. He hoped he would meet another mutant while in this city. After all it was the most populated place he had ever been to. Ethan looked at the man unsure if he should say what he wanted. " I think you should know I'm a mutant." He muttered

Chris’s breathing was heavy as he looked around. He had turned around for a minute to grab a hot dog and when he turned back, his brother was gone.
It wasn’t much of a problem. They would meet up again; it just felt weird not having him near. He had run quite a ways. Even so, Chris had never been the fastest runner and his breath left him quickly and often. He had finished the hot dog while on the move and now he looked around for the fifteen-minute younger mutant.
He found himself in a park and glanced around. With a deep sigh, he recognized his brother on one of the park benches, talking to another boy. Chris did his best to straiten out his hair and catch his breath before strolling up to the pair.

Alex nodded in thanks and sat, leaning back against the bench. He crossed his legs and tipped his head back, closing his eyes and enjoying the heat. It really wasn’t all that bad now that he wasn’t doing physical activities, like running. Speaking of running, where had his brother gone to? He looked around, but didn’t see him. It was then that his benchmate spoke up. " Names Ethan."
“Alex.”
"I think you should know I'm a mutant."
“Tell everyone that, do you?” Alex asked, a bit bemused. He spotted his brother and took the opportunity to escape by focusing on something different. “Hey! Chris!” He called, waving his twin over to the bench.

"...do you?”
Chris missed the first bit of the other boys' conversation. Not that it really mattered much to him what they had been speaking about.
"Hey! Chris!"
Chris grinned. So maybe Alex hadn't been trying to ditch him. He clasped his younger brother's shoulder, a grin planted firmly on his face. "Who's your friend?"
